The Vampire of Sacramento tops the list of serial killers in the United States. Richard Chase took the lives of 6 people during his lifetime. He would drink blood like a vampire and eat flesh. He is believed to have been a human being sans human emotions. In the early days, he used to capture, kill and disembowel animals, often mixing the raw organs with Coca-Cola in a blender and drinking the concoction. By and by he developed a taste for human flesh. Cases of Necrophilia were discovered. He was sentenced to death in a gas chamber for the first-degree murders he committed. He is said to have overdosed himself on antidepressants in his prison bed and died before facing execution.
