The infamous Russian serial killer was dubbed “Butcher of Rostov”. Fifty-three young girls and boys were sexually assaulted and killed in cold blood in the Rostov area of Russia. Andrei Chikatilo was a teacher by profession. He was thrown out of teaching in the face of complaints against him about sexual harassment. He is said to have been an impotent man and the homicides were committed out of frustration. He ruthlessly killed his victims, disemboweled, and mutilated them to ejaculate. The victims were found in the most sordid and traumatized state. Andrei Chikatilo was executed in 2004 with a single gunshot behind his right ear.
